Metalpen

Metalpen is one of the YSF Grup brands in Istanbul. As an authorised manufacturing dealer of Egepen, it operates in the field of PVC window systems. We designed its logo in 2026 and delivered it in horizontal and vertical layouts, in versions for white, dark and red backgrounds, and in a lockup alongside the Egepen Deceuninck logo.

Most of the time Metalpen's logo would not stand alone; it would be used side by side with the logo of the brand it is a manufacturing dealer for.

So the logo had to read on its own even next to another logo, and stay clear at small sizes. The mark would also be printed small and in repeat on the protective tape over the window frames, so it had to be simple and work in a single colour as well.

The goal was to turn the initial of the name into a single, memorable mark.

We set out to build the letter M not from straight strokes but from straight edges and the arcs rising from them. We wanted the mark to be able to leave the name and work on its own on the tape and on social media.

The logo is a single-piece letter M, drawn with arcs rising to the right from straight edges.

The mark is red and the lettering is a dark petrol tone. The name Metalpen is set in a plain typeface, with the widely spaced line PVC PENCERE SİSTEMLERİ beneath it. The mark can also leave the name and be used on its own. On dark and red backgrounds the logo turns white, while the red mark keeps its colour on the dark background. On the protective tape of the frames the logo repeats along the length of the tape.
